A Family Christmas

Our Christmas sparkled

From beginning

To end

I cooked

Christy cooked

We cooked

We laughed

We ate

Christy and Bryan walked with Maddie & Zoe

We enjoyed the Christmas tree

And we enjoyed visits from next door son, Gurn

All our fur babies got along, mostly

I had lessons in operating new devices

We opened stockings

And we opened presents

And Defee & Wallace spent Christmas at home
where Defee read bedtime stories

And the sisters told each other secrets

Some napped

Some peeked

On Christmas Day they visited Wallace's family
where matching Christmas aprons must mean
that the ladies were baking

CC was smiling at her first Christmas

And Nora tried on her first ballet slippers

R.H. and I had lunch before Christmas
with my sister Teresa and b-in-law Fred,
but only we ladies had our photo taken

And to say Merry Christmas to sisters Deb & Jenn
with part of their family
here's their Thanksgiving Day photo

It was a wonderful and blessed Christmas!

Thank you for looking at these family pictures!

  1. Merry Christmas! I enjoyed all the photos of you and your beautiful family. Our house is very quiet now that our family has gone home. Our two granddaughters were especially sweet and entertaining this year.

    1. A belated Merry Christmas, Brenda, and a blessed New Year to you.

  2. Wonderful pictures! That's what the holidays are all about-making precious memories with our loved ones.

    1. Yes, they are, Jan, and those memories become more precious each year.

  3. How beautiful and warm and sweet, your family Christmas was, Dewena! I love the wonderful candid shots of your clan, smiling brightly, enjoying each other's company, sharing the preparations, having fun with the festivities! From grand baby CC and her adoring and adorable big sis, Nora, and all the other 'big' girls and boys, to the delicious delights, and pretty seasonal decor, your home, your heart, and your soul must be filled with such love, gratitude, and joy, during these peaceful and precious days of Jesus' birth.

Wishing you the very best for a happy, healthy New Year!

    Sending love,

RH and I love your comments! They are sent to my email for moderation first but I do hit publish as soon as I read them. A few commenters' comments are not sent to my email for some reason but I try to visit that section on my design page twice a day to see if they're hiding there so I can publish them. I went the first 3 years of blogging not knowing that was there and when I discovered it there were many pages of old comments that never got published. I was so embarrassed and contacted recent ones but hid in shame from those who had given up long ago.

In these busy days I appreciate so much when you take time to comment. Thank you so much!
